Grandma Rain Visits AGAIN!

Who is our favorite Grandma in the world? Grandma RAIN!

We just had to fly her out here for her 91st birthday! Her oldest grandson, Russ, and all of us love to spend time with her, here her stories and take her everywhere!

Russ was her first grandchild and Tess was her first great-grandchild!

My big brother, Steve, was also in town so we got the family all together (Koskis, Wilsons and Crawfords) and had a big family dinner with Grandma Rain.

Claire-bear is sooo silly!

So is Olivia!

Another night just the Crawfords had one of our favorite dinners with Grandma, FONDUE! She had never had it before! You can tell!!!

We almost died laughing when she kept missing her mouth and getting cheese sauce everywhere. We are always amazed at how young and agile she is, and how we never seem to wear her out, but tonight at dinner, she was starting to act her age for once and was laughing at herself even more than we were!

Olivia and Chloe are REALLY getting IN to the fondue. First course is a swiss cheese sauce with french bread, veggies and apples to dip in it, then we cook different kinds of meat in the bullion water, and dip them in a myriad of sauces. Last we have a milk chocolate marshmallow fondue and dip in bananas, angel food cake, strawberries, marshmallows, and other goodies. You get REALLY full on a night like this!

We took Grandma shopping with us for almost 4 hours the next day but she just kept on going!

On Monday, we went to Costco and then swung by the site where they are building the new Gilbert temple. It was fun to show her around and learn more about the new temple in the visitor's center. I learned a lot of new stuff too! We will have to have her back when it's finished in the fall of 2013.

Love you and miss you Grandma!

Chloe the Fashionista!

Chloe is my most creative and adventurous daughter in the fashion world. She loves to try new things that she sees online on Pinterest or other places.

Here is a "Waterfall" braid that I did in her hair. there are pieces that come down through the braid from the top, unlike a regular French braid.

Thanks to Cherise Bailey for showing me how to finish off this braid in a cute way!

Next we sewed a DRESS from Pinterest instructions! Not as easy as you would think. Chloe, Olivia and Callie all made them with LOTS of help from me. I like real patterns I can hold in my  hand better. I'll post a finished pic of the dress when I find it.

Probably Chloe's favorite thing to do is find funky ways of doing your nails. We did these pink, black and white leopard spots on her nails one Sunday afternoon.

I love that she documents everything so she can share it with her adoring Istagram friends!

This is the "Before" picture on a cool new way of curling your hair that Chloe learned. When it's damp, you roll it up in a elastic headband around your whole head (not over your face)!

Then in the morning when you unroll it, you have lots of big, round curls! I curl a few pieces on the top in the back to even it out a bit, and viola! You have curly hair that stays curly for a couple days!

Moroni's Rising

We had heard that Angel Moroni had arrived in Gilbert on Monday and he would be raised into place atop the new Gilbert temple on Tuesday. Russ and I decided to go check it out, along with probably 1,000 other people.

On the truck on Monday. I got this picture from a friend. I took all the rest of them.

Before they raised him all the way on top of the temple spire, they took him on a trip around the inside of the fence so all the spectators could see him up close and personal.

All done and facing the east in anticipation of the Second Coming of the Lord!
We can't wait!
