Christmas Day 2011

What a beautiful sight. Just as we head down the stairs Christmas morning.

The kids didn't all sleep in the same room this year but they did get up EARLY! Chloe and Olivia were in our room at 6:00, and we made them snuggle with us for a bit while we woke up and got the big kids, but by 6:22 we were unwrapping our stocking stuffers!

I love a glowing Christmas tree! I used to lay under our tree when I was a little kid and just feel the warmth of the big bulbs and enjoy that special feeling of Christmas that only comes once a year.

Rustin is demonstrating how true the statement is on the shirt he just got, "I put the 'pro' in 'procrastinate.'" What a treat it was to have my brother, Bill, with us this year on Christmas Eve and morning!

Yum! Nutella!

"Where's Perry?"

Opening her new "iPod" even though it wasn't actually in there. We ordered it on the 20th, supposedly "guaranteed" to get there on the 23rd, and it didn't arrive until the 27th!!! ARG!

Not sure why I'm so excited, this is not even my scarf, it's Chloe's!

I just HAD to make this video game (Skyrim) difficult to open for Rustin, so I wrapped it in an entire ball of yarn!!! It took him a while to get it out. Mwaaa haaa haaaaa!

Russ bought all his own presents this year. Poor guy! This is my favorite of the shirts he picked out. He knew it would be. I don't know how.

Before Bill opened this presents from the Wilsons, he was told it was to help him decide where to live after he finished his masters degree (in about 9 months). It was a jar of "Arizona Rocks!" Yes, it does!

Go Grandma and Grandpa Crawford! You made these kids happy!!!

Cheering in anticipation of their BIG presents that Santa had stashed in the other room under a sheet. This year we wrapped each kids presents in their own individualized wrapping paper. The only catch was, that they didn't know which wrapping paper was theirs until Christmas morning when they each selected a present they thought was in their own wrapping. They all were wrong except Rustin, who guessed right. I had to do a double bluff to keep them from guessing right. I was really proud of myself!

The unveiling!

Gee, I wonder what could be in those LONG boxes!!!  Chloe and Liv each got a long board. Olivia already knew what she was getting because when Russ and I were shopping for them, and actually carrying these two big boxes out to the car, her friend, Alex and her ambushed us in the parking lot! I couldn't even fake that they weren't for her because I had written her name on the box to keep them separate!! HAHAA! But Chloe never had a clue because when she heard that story, we told everyone to tell her there was only one long board!!! :)

Oh ya! Skyrim's gonna look great on that bad boy! Happy Rustin!

Tess is 18 now and going to college in 6 months or so, so Santa thought it was time for her to get her own laptop. Oh boy! These kids are getting too big!

Two cute girls and two cool looking longboards!

Olivia loves to have a present hidden, so, she is reading a clue about where to find her gift. This said something like, "If it were opposite day, I'd say go look upstairs someplace where dry things get wet."

It didn't take her long to figure out that her new camera was in the dryer!

So cool on those boards!

Snuggling with Jasper after a cold longboard ride.

Getting the new computer up and running after a beautiful Christmas sacrament meeting at church. I wish church was on Sunday every year!

Dad looks on to make sure she's getting everything right.

Playing "Dance Central 2" on the Kinect. Love how Chloe even gets into the dance with her face. Do you get extra points for that?

Russ and I have had an amazing Christmas together this year with more love and more understanding than ever. I sure do love this amazing partner of mine!

Having fun with Tess.

Playing Dicecapades with Bill, and since he won, he says he won't ever play again because he's got to "Go out on top!" Silly Billy!

We all met at Gma and Gpa Koskis after lunch. Luke is showing Tess his brand-new funky Bat Mobile. It does some cool stuff! He's even got his Batman shirt on. Tess is wearing her new Elmo shirt. She carried around an stuffed Elmo everywhere she went when she was a baby and even dressed up as him on Halloween when she was 4. So cute!

Rich is telling Russ an amazing story!

Looks like Grandpa is entertaining Tess, Mj, Clark and Luke with some kind of tall tale.

Gma is loving her bird feeder from the Wilsons. She knows every kind of bird in Arizona. Perfect gift!

Olivia and her cousin, Peter, who must have got some gum for Christmas!
